The impact of climate change in the Transport sector is generated by extreme weather phenomena such as increased precipitation, extreme winds, floods and heatwaves. These occurrences specific to climate change act both on the transport infrastructure and on the means of transport, generating dangers from the perspective of transport safety accompanied by severe economic consequences. In the absence of the implementation of concrete and appropriate measures, the efficiency of the transport systems will decrease significantly, thus reducing the operational capacity of the transport infrastructure.
