Romania's industry is differentially affected by the variability of climatic parameters, such as temperature, liquid and solid precipitation, relative air humidity, wind speed, duration and frequency of heat and cold waves. Climate change mainly affects those industrial (sub)branches that involve the performance of productive activities permanently or for long periods of time, in the open air. At the same time, the effects of climate variability are materialized also through: accidental shutdown episodes of certain industrial processes/activities, long-term interruptions of supply chains, reduction of the availability of certain resources and raw materials, degradation of the conditions for the development of various stages in the technological processes.
