RO-ADAPT data

RO-ADAPT Platform supplies access to a series of climatic parameters and indicators specific to each approached activity sector, in view to achieve the adaptation measures. The syntheses of the climatic parameters and indicators are displayed as areal averages computed at the level of local administrative units (LAU), counties or development regions. Temporally, the climatic data can be downloaded annually, seasonally, or monthly for the period 1971 - 2100. Until the year 2020, the data comes from the measurements made by the National Meteorological Administration. After 2005, the data were simulated using the RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 forecast scenarios, as defined by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The satellite indices can be accessed for much shorter intervals and only from the past.

Heatwave amplitude (HWA) as defined by either the Excess Heat Factor (EHF)

Data access

The nationwide data can be downloaded in raster format (GeoTIFF/Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF or NetCDF). The data aggregated at the level of administrative-territorial units, counties, and development regions can be downloaded in vector format (GeoPackage, FlatGeobuf, GeoParquet) or tabular (CSV and Apache Parquet). Also, the data can be viewed and accessed through standardized OGC services (WMS, WFS, WCS) or through the HTTP protocol using cloud native file formats (Apache Parquet, Cloud Optimised GeoTiff, FlatGeobuf, GeoParquet).
